If you Join a Junior they must be able to swim 50m none stop – and you must complete this consent form and bring it to a session, to make sure we are offering the safest environment possible.
What are you getting for your ££? have a look around the website at what went on last year, and this is what we have planned for 2018:
A coaching program that all athletes can access 5 times a week including specific Junior and specific Adult sessions, as well as mixed sessions. Delivered by an expert team with the oversight of a Head Coach – Gordon Stutchbury; covering swimming, cycling and running plus other ad-hoc sessions such as video swim analysis, transition practice and multi-discipline training.
A club training plan for most Triathlon Distances, created by our own coaches who use their learning and experiences of competing in their first Tri – right up to being GB team members and National Champions.
In season competitions: 3 leagues, Time Trial bike competition, the chance to represent the club in the National Relay Championships (funded by the club * 15+ only) and race in our Aquathlon for the price of a swim.
Off season – ParkRun series, King of the Hill, Cross Country (Juniors welcome)
Social evenings, lectures, parties, weekends away, chances to win race entry, chances to race the London marathon!
You can do all of it, part of it or none of it – its your club and your choice.
We get discount at cycle world, totally tranquil, and start fitness, we also get the corporate rate of membership for Sunderland’s everyone active centres
Our Club has been accredited with “Tri-Mark” Bronze, which means the following:
The club is doing everything it can to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our athletes. It has a trained welfare officer, a code of conduct, a constitution and has adopts policies such as safeguarding, code of ethics and equality and diversity. Our Child specific coaches have enhanced DBS clearance, and we encourage positive risk taking in a safe environment.
